Dr. Steven Hoefflin is  world-renowned board-certified plastic surgeon, author and teacher who has treated over 55,000 patients, including some of the most famous faces in the world.  

Dr. Hoefflin graduated first in his class at UCLA Medical School in 1972. He continued his education in general surgery and completed a full plastic surgical residency training program at the UCLA Medical Center, where he received the coveted Surgical Medal Award. 

Dr. Hoefflin is a world-authority in plastic surgery and has published his techniques in medical journals and textbooks.  He has frequently been invited to lecture and present his techniques at national and international plastic surgery meetings.  Noteworthy are Dr. Hoefflin's publications on the Extra-Supraplatysmal Plane (ESP) Facelift Technique, Hypotonic Pharmacological Lipodissolution (HPL) and his published anesthesia record of 23,000 consecutive procedures without a significant complication from anesthesia.  He has authored, among many books, The Beautiful Face- The First Mathematical Definition, Classification and Creation of True Facial Beauty.   

Dr. Hoefflin is Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is the immediate past president of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons , The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and of the American College of Surgeons. 

Dr. Hoefflin was an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UCLA Medical Center and has won teaching awards here and as a lecturer at national plastic surgery meetings.          

Due to Dr. Hoefflin's profound interest and expertise in plastic surgical innovations and education, he is frequently requested to teach at national and international plastic surgery meetings. He has maintained a private practice in aesthetic plastic surgery for over thirty years in Santa Monica, California.
